Players of Battlefield 6 have made it abundantly clear they don’t want the game to mirror Call of Duty’s approach with celebrity operators and outlandish cartoon skins, like those featuring Beavis and Butt-head. Now, it seems EA and Battlefield Studios are playfully mocking Call of Duty with a brand-new live-action Battlefield 6 trailer. This video introduces a roster of celebrity soldiers, only to ruthlessly dispatch them in various explosive ways.
Stars like Zac Efron, Jimmy Butler, Morgan Wallen, and Paddy Pimblett appear as themselves, proving to be quite expendable in the heat of battle. This entire spectacle appears to be a direct nod to Call of Duty’s own “There’s A Soldier In All Of Us” campaign, which also featured numerous celebrities such as Sam Worthington, Jonah Hill, and Dwight Howard. However, those celebrity operators certainly had a much easier time than their counterparts in Battlefield 6’s intensely chaotic urban environments and destructible landscapes.
Battlefield 6 has already generated buzz with a powerful launch trailer for its campaign, showcasing how completely demolishing buildings can dramatically alter gameplay. Another trailer highlighted Battlefield 6’s innovative Portal mode, which empowers players with tools to craft custom maps and inject even more wild chaos into their battles.
Rebecka Coutaz, the head of DICE, recently emphasized her personal commitment to delivering a significantly improved Battlefield experience, especially after the lukewarm reception of Battlefield 2042. We’ve already shared our initial thoughts on the game following an exclusive hands-on preview. Fans will finally get their chance to experience the action when Battlefield 6 officially launches on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on October 10.
