The first month for Arena Breakout: Infinite has been quite successful! This realistic tactical shooter quickly captured attention during its early access phase, truly shining with its full release. Monetization concerns were addressed, solidifying its position as a serious competitor to games like Escape From Tarkov and the upcoming Arc Raiders. With the field of top FPS games becoming more competitive, developer Morefun is committed to maintaining its strong start by implementing “severe action” against players who disrupt the game’s economy through real-world trading.
For its 1.0 launch, Arena Breakout Infinite made a significant change: players can no longer buy the in-game currency, Koen, with real money. This move was a direct effort to eliminate any potential pay-to-win elements. Coupled with enhanced anti-cheat measures, Morefun reaffirmed its dedication to fair play. This commitment seems to be working, as Steam player numbers have consistently stayed above 50,000 during its debut month, cementing ABI’s place among the best multiplayer games, especially with Tarkov and Arc Raiders also heading to the platform soon.
In a recent announcement, the development team revealed they are taking action against individuals who have found ways to bypass these fair-play systems. “We recently discovered a small number of players have been conducting real-world trades that break the rules,” Morefun stated. These offenders are reportedly “manipulating the matchmaking system to transfer valuable, tradable supplies (such as advanced ammo) into a raid to quickly obtain large amounts of Koen.”

Morefun warns that “engaging in offline trades encourages the growth of illicit farming and cheat usage to acquire items.” Therefore, the developer “will be taking severe action against these violations.” Sellers involved will face confiscation of all illegally obtained supplies (or their equivalent value in Koen) and will receive escalating bans, with the most serious offenses leading to suspensions of up to ten years.
As for buyers, Morefun will seize “all of the profits gained through this method” and reduce the offender’s merit score. Repeated offenses could result in “up to double the illicitly obtained items’ value in Koen confiscated.” The developers strongly encourage anyone who encounters rule-breakers to submit a report through any of the official Arena Breakout channels to help maintain a fair environment.
Beyond trading, Morefun also reported issues with leaderboard manipulation. “A few players have been falsely boosting the amount of loot they extract from the raid with,” the team elaborated, noting this “severely undermines the fairness of the ‘extracted loot’ leaderboard rankings.” Those caught will face temporary leaderboard removal and a reduction in their merit score; repeat offenders will be permanently banned from the leaderboard and lose all merit.
