AIIMS Gorakhpur Faculty Recruitment 2025: Vacancies Available
A total of 88 faculty positions are up for grabs, distributed as follows:
- Professor: 21 positions
- Additional Professor: 15 positions
- Associate Professor: 28 positions
- Assistant Professor: 24 positions
Vacancies exist in departments such as Anaesthesia, Cardiology, General Medicine, Radiology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Urology, and Trauma & Emergency Medicine, among others. As per government regulations, reservations for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PwD candidates will be observed.
Eligibility and Age Criteria
Candidates applying for:
- Professor and Additional Professor positions must be a maximum of 58 years old.
- Associate Professor and Assistant Professor positions must be a maximum of 50 years old.
Age relaxations are applicable for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, PwD categories, as well as for government servants and ex-servicemen, in accordance with prevailing norms. Essential for all applicants is relevant teaching and research experience, adhering to the National Medical Commission (NMC) guidelines. For super-speciality posts, a DM or MCh qualification is mandatory.
Attractive Pay Scale
Selected candidates will be compensated as per the 7th Central Pay Commission recommendations:
- Professor: Level-14A (Rs. 1,68,900 – Rs. 2,20,400)
- Additional Professor: Level-13A2+ (Rs. 1,48,200 – Rs. 2,11,400)
- Associate Professor: Level-13A1+ (Rs. 1,38,300 – Rs. 2,09,200)
- Assistant Professor: Level-12 (Rs. 1,01,500 – Rs. 1,67,400)
For contractual appointments, the monthly remuneration ranges from Rs. 2,00,000 to Rs. 2,20,000, depending on the specific post.

Selection Procedure
A dedicated Search-cum-Selection Committee will review all applications. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview at AIIMS Gorakhpur. Please note that no Travel Allowance (TA) or Dearness Allowance (DA) will be provided for attending the interview.
