Activision recently shared impressive statistics from the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 multiplayer beta, confidently asserting that a remarkable nearly 99% of matches were entirely free of cheaters.
According to Ricochet, Activision’s dedicated anti-cheat team, the beta kicked off on October 2 with approximately 97.5% of matches clear of dishonest players. This figure saw a significant rise by the fifth day, reaching an impressive 98.8% cheater-free rate.

The publisher further elaborated that Ricochet’s anti-cheat tools within the Black Ops 7 beta continuously ‘adapted and improved,’ thereby guaranteeing a fairer and more enjoyable experience for players.
Activision underscored its long-term commitment, stating that years of investment and refinement have brought their anti-cheat technology to its current advanced state. They emphasized that this is an ongoing process, with continuous efforts planned to further enhance these tools, ensuring players can always trust in a clean and equitable match. ‘We’re not done yet,’ Activision declared. ‘Ricochet anti-cheat keeps adapting to protect your time and your matches, and most important, earn your trust. There’s much more to come.’
It’s worth noting that when the Black Ops 7 beta first launched, some videos surfaced showing apparent cheating. However, Activision quickly clarified that these instances didn’t reflect the game’s live state, as the problematic accounts had already been dealt with by Ricochet.

While the Black Ops 7 multiplayer beta concluded on October 9, the action doesn’t stop there. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launched its exciting Season 6 and a major Halloween event on the same day, alongside a new free trial for players to jump into.
This period is proving to be incredibly eventful for first-person shooter enthusiasts. EA’s highly anticipated Battlefield 6 is set to launch on October 10, followed by Arc Raiders – a new title from a Battlefield veteran – arriving on October 30. Players eager for Black Ops 7 won’t have to wait much longer, as its full release is slated for November 14.
