According to North Korea’s official state news agency, KCNA, China is poised to deepen its relationship with North Korea, aiming for enhanced strategic cooperation on both international and regional fronts.
This significant declaration came in a letter from Chinese President Xi Jinping to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, dated Thursday, October 9th. KCNA specified that Xi’s letter was a direct response to Kim’s congratulatory message for the founding anniversary of China’s Communist Party.
President Xi underscored the profound connection between the two countries, describing them as “good neighbors, good friends” who “share destiny and help each other.” He further noted that this friendship is steadily gaining strength.
Furthermore, Xi’s letter, as reported by KCNA, revealed that he and Kim Jong Un had already laid out a “blueprint” for future relations during their September meeting in China, setting the stage for these renewed efforts.
