The highly anticipated Adobe Premiere app is now officially available for download on iOS devices through the App Store. Following its pre-order listing on September 4, the professional video editing application made its full debut this Monday.
While the app is free to download and use, certain advanced functionalities will require a premium subscription. Adobe emphasizes that the iOS version provides an experience remarkably similar to its desktop counterpart, boasting features like a multi-track timeline and dynamic audio waveforms.
Adobe Premiere App for Android Also in Development
During its initial announcement, Adobe described the Premiere app as “a fast, free, and intuitive app that puts pro-level creative control in your hands, without the pro-level complexity.” iPhone users can now enjoy this powerful tool, while an Android version is currently in development, though a release date has not yet been announced.

Our team at Gadgets 360 had the opportunity to test the app, which features a user-friendly interface. A prominent tutorial guides new users, with various tools conveniently listed below, including options like “New from photo library,” “New from files,” “New blank project,” and “Extract audio.”
Adding to its modern capabilities, the app incorporates several Artificial Intelligence (AI) features. Users can leverage AI to add captions to videos, generate and expand images, and even create videos directly from images. It’s important to note that these AI features are part of the premium offering and require generative AI credits.
Once a project is initiated, users will find a suite of tools reminiscent of the desktop software. This includes the ability to work with multi-track timelines and dynamic audio waveforms, allowing for precise trimming, layering, and fine-tuning of every video frame. Additionally, the app supports adding multiple video, audio, and text layers, offers stylized subtitles, and provides support for high-quality 4K HDR video resolution.
The app facilitates a seamless workflow by allowing users to begin a project on their iPhone and continue editing on their desktop. However, free-tier users have access to limited cloud storage, with additional storage necessitating a paid subscription. Furthermore, the Adobe app grants subscribers access to Adobe’s extensive stock asset library, enhancing creative possibilities.
