A golden opportunity awaits aspiring candidates as the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is set to close the application window for 120 Grade ‘B’ Officer positions today, September 30, 2025. This recruitment drive targets candidates for the General, Department of Economic and Policy Research (DEPR), and Department of Statistics and Information Management (DSIM) cadres. Mark your calendars for the examination dates: Phase-I for the General cadre is scheduled for October 18, 2025, with Phase-II on December 6, 2025. For the DEPR and DSIM positions, Phase-I exams will take place on October 19, 2025, followed by Phase-II on December 7, 2025.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Age Limit: Candidates must be between 21 and 30 years old as of September 1, 2025. Age relaxations are applicable for reserved categories, including Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) and ex-servicemen, as well as for those with higher educational qualifications.
Educational Qualifications:
- General Cadre: A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates) or a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD) is required.
- DEPR: A Master’s degree in Economics or Finance with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD). A doctorate or relevant research/teaching experience in the field is advantageous.
- DSIM: A Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics, or a related field with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD). Alternatively, a four-year Bachelor’s degree in similar subjects with 60% marks is also accepted.
Application Fees:
- General, OBC, and EWS candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 850 + GST.
- SC/ST/PwBD candidates need to pay Rs. 100 + GST.
- RBI staff members are exempt from the application fee.
