The original ‘Girls Band Cry’ anime series, directed by Kazuo Sakai at Toei Animation, featured series composition by Jukki Hanada, character designs by Nari Teshima, and music by Kenji Tamai. The 13-episode series aired in Japan from April to June 2024. The story follows high school dropout Nina Iseri as she moves to Tokyo, feeling out of place in her rural hometown. After a challenging first day, she encounters her favorite guitarist, Momoka Kawaragi. Together, they perform a street gig and decide to form a band with three other girls.
