Veteran game developer Hideo Kojima has pulled back the curtain on one of his upcoming projects, ‘Physint,’ during the Kojima Productions 10th-anniversary livestream. This highly anticipated PlayStation exclusive is being positioned as a spiritual successor to Kojima’s iconic Metal Gear Solid franchise, signaling a return to the stealth-action genre that made him a household name.
While the unveiled poster offered only a shadowy glimpse of the game’s protagonist, it prominently featured the enigmatic tagline: “here comes the feeling.” Kojima himself hinted that ‘Physint’ aims to deliver the “next stage of tactical espionage action,” with graphics so advanced they will blur the lines between movies and video games.

The presentation also revealed three notable actors joining the game’s cast: Charlee Fraser (known from ‘Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga’), Don Lee (from Marvel’s ‘Eternals’), and Minami Hamabe (‘Godzilla: Minus One’). To showcase the game’s visual prowess, Kojima presented a CG-rendered facial model of Hamabe’s character, which demonstrated an astonishing level of realistic detail.
However, eager fans should manage their expectations, as ‘Physint’ is still in its very early conceptual stages of development. Kojima Productions is currently heavily focused on another project, ‘OD,’ which also received a chilling new trailer during the livestream. Kojima has previously indicated that ‘Physint’ might be “five or six years” away from release. Beyond these games, Kojima is also actively expanding the ‘Death Stranding’ universe through various multimedia ventures, including an upcoming live-action film and an anime series.
