Horror fans are in for a treat with Amazon’s latest deals on the iconic Creepshow franchise. You can snag the upcoming Creepshow 2 Limited Edition 4K Blu-ray for just $33, down from its original price of $50, ahead of its September 30 release. This Arrow Films’ 4K restoration comes packed with exclusive bonuses, including a never-before-published Stephen King short story adapted into a comic. Pair it with last year’s Creepshow Limited Edition Steelbook, now an all-time low at $23, reduced from $40.

The complete four-season run of Shudder’s Creepshow anthology series is also seeing a significant price drop. The Creepshow: Complete Series Collector’s Edition Blu-ray box set is available for preorder at $68.47, a substantial saving from its $100 price tag. This collectible set, releasing November 11, features a unique CRT TV display box with comic book-inspired disc cases, making it a standout addition for any fan’s collection.

As seen in the images, the CRT TV display on the box can switch between a red background with the series logo and a picture of The Creep, an exciting detail for collectors. Each of the four seasons comes in its own case, designed to look like the in-universe Creepshow comics and Stephen King’s original graphic novel. The set even includes a physical comic book based on “Skeletons in the Closet” from Season 3, Episode 2.

Creepshow 2 Limited Edition (4K Blu-ray)

Originally priced at $50, this edition is now available for $33 and releases on September 30.

The Creepshow 2 Limited Edition 4K Blu-ray has been meticulously restored from the original camera negative, featuring HDR (Dolby Vision and HDR10) and three audio formats: 5.1 DTS-HD surround sound, stereo, and lossless monaural. This release largely mirrors the 2016 Special Edition, including a reversible sleeve and cover art by Mike Saputo.

Notably, the 4K release includes two limited-edition booklets that were part of the first printing of the 1080p Blu-ray, now re-released. One booklet features a comic adaptation of “Pinfall,” an unpublished Stephen King story. This is the only way to experience this cut story. The other is an illustrated booklet with commentary from Michael Blyth. For an even deeper dive into the film’s production, “The Making of Creepshow 2” paperback offers a 320-page account based on production documents and interviews.

Creepshow Limited Edition Steelbook (4K Blu-ray)

This edition is now an all-time low at $23, reduced from $40.

While you can watch Creepshow 2 independently, the 1982 original is a highly recommended horror-comedy anthology. This Limited Edition Steelbook, released last Halloween, is now cheaper than the standard 4K Blu-ray. Both the Steelbook and Collector’s Edition include 4K and 1080p Blu-rays, remastered in stunning 4K from the original camera negatives with HDR (Dolby Vision and HDR10), Dolby Atmos audio, and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and 2.0. Special features include three audio commentary tracks, a roundtable discussion on the making of the anthology, interviews, and more.

Creepshow and its various follow-ups expertly blend horror and comedy, drawing inspiration from classic comics like Tales from the Crypt and The Haunt of Fear. The original 1982 film, directed by George Romero, is an anthology featuring five distinct, terrifyingly fun vignettes. These include a murdered man’s ghostly return, a mysterious meteor impacting a remote farm, and a frightening cockroach army targeting a man with entomophobia. Stephen King made his screenwriting debut with Creepshow, adapting two of the five tales from his short fiction. He also transformed the film into a graphic novel in the same year.

The screenplay for Creepshow 2 was penned by Romero and directed by the original film’s cinematographer, Michael Gornick. While initially planned for five vignettes like its predecessor, only three made it to the screen: “Old Chief Wood’nhead,” “The Raft,” and “The Hitch-hiker.” All three were based on King’s short stories, though only “The Raft” was previously published in his renowned collection Skeleton Crew. An unfilmed King story from Creepshow 2, “Cat from Hell,” later appeared in “Tales from the Darkside: The Movie” in 1990. This spin-off film, based on a TV series created by Romero, benefited from Creepshow’s unexpected box office success. “Tales from the Darkside: The Complete Series” is available on DVD for $27.90.

Creepshow Comics and Graphic Novels

Shudder’s series also sparked a revival of Creepshow in print. Since 2022, Skybound and Image Comics have published 20 Creepshow comics, with 15 collected into paperback volumes. Each volume features five standalone comics from renowned industry creators like Garth Ennis and Joe Hill. Interestingly, Joe Hill, who appeared as a child in the original Creepshow film’s prologue and epilogue, later contributed an official Creepshow comic titled “Joe Hill’s Wolverton Station.”

The first issue of Volume 4 was released on September 17, with Volume 4 #2 arriving October 22 and #3 on November 19. The first three trade paperback volumes are available for $10-$15 each, and Volume 4’s paperback edition is set for April 14, 2026. Last holiday season, Image Comics released a hardcover Deluxe Edition combining the first two volumes, now available for $21 (originally $40) – nearly the same price as buying the two paperbacks separately. Before diving into the new series, Stephen King’s original “Creepshow” graphic novel comes highly recommended, available in paperback for $15 (was $20).
