You’ve likely spent hours in Dying Light The Beast, enjoying the visceral thrill of taking down hordes of zombies with an arsenal of craftable weapons. But what if I told you there’s a truly extraordinary, and undeniably strange, weapon waiting to be discovered? To unlock it, you’ll need to channel your inner wizard and embrace a fantastical journey. This bizarre easter egg, a delightful blend of Harry Potter and Minecraft influences, lets you wield the incredible Last Hand of gloVa, continuing a cherished Techland tradition.
If you’re a veteran of Techland’s previous zombie epics, the name ‘gloVa’ probably rings a bell. This iconic series of in-game abilities first appeared in Dead Island as the ‘Left Hand of gloVa,’ allowing you to unleash a powerful force push, sending enemies flying for an easy follow-up. The first Dying Light then introduced the ‘Right Hand of gloVa,’ a grenade slot item that zapped foes with electric blasts from your palm.
Dying Light 2 continued the legacy with the ‘Left Finger of gloVa,’ a quirky easter egg found with teddy bears that transformed Aiden Caldwell’s digits into a makeshift revolver. And now, in Dying Light The Beast, a brand new ‘gloVa’ item awaits! Prepare to unleash your inner sorcerer with the ‘Last Hand of gloVa’ consumable. This incredible item allows you to make zombies spectacularly explode into fiery balls with mere hand gestures. How cool is that?
It’s fantastic to witness the return of this signature Techland hallmark, but the journey to acquire the Last Hand of gloVa is far from conventional. Just check out the video from ‘Okami13’ below for a glimpse into its unique acquisition.
Your quest begins in some ancient ruins near the monastery, where you’ll spot a wall emblazoned with ‘9 ¾.’ For any Harry Potter fan, this instantly signals a hidden portal. Step right through to find yourself in a mysterious, dimly lit tunnel. Further in, you’ll encounter a series of barricades constructed from distinctly pixelated bricks, reminiscent of something straight out of Minecraft. Break through these with your melee weapon, and you’ll uncover a secret room containing a golden train. Perched on some nearby crates, the coveted Last Hand of gloVa awaits your discovery.
Dying Light: The Beast has a Harry Potter and Minecraft easter egg that leads to an EXTREMELY powerful weapon.
You can find Platform 9 3/4’s in the game and get the ‘Last Hand of Glova’, a powerful item that you can also craft.

Witnessing entire groups of zombies ignite and soar through the air with a mere flick of your wrist? Absolutely, it’s one of the most satisfying and effective ways to clear the undead!
