Hollywood actor Tom Holland has unfortunately sustained an injury while filming his highly anticipated Marvel movie, Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Reports confirm that Holland was rushed to the hospital after suffering a mild concussion on the Glasgow set. The incident occurred when a stunt went awry, leading to an immediate pause in production. Thankfully, no other cast or crew members were affected.
Filming is expected to remain suspended for a few days as a precautionary measure, and a meeting will be held to adjust the shooting schedule. This temporary setback comes after production for Spider-Man: Brand New Day began in early August, with the film slated for a July 2026 theatrical release.
Fans recently got an exciting glimpse of Holland’s new Spider-Man suit, which features striking raised black webbing against a classic bright red and blue design, reminiscent of earlier iterations worn by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. Holland himself teased the new look in a video, asking fans, “We ready?” as he sported the updated ensemble.
The upcoming installment will see the return of fan favorites Zendaya and Jacob Batalon, alongside new additions like Liza Colon-Zayas, Tramell Tillman, and Sadie Sink. Marvel veterans Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, Jon Bernthal as the Punisher, and Michael Mando as the Scorpion are also set to join the stellar cast.
Breaking from tradition, this new Spider-Man adventure is being directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, known for his work on Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, taking over from previous director Jon Watts.
Despite the brief halt in filming, Holland recently made headlines for a rare public appearance with Zendaya at a London event, reassuring fans that he’s taking things easy.
