Get ready to face your fears: Silent Hill f is almost here!
This marks the first major Silent Hill game since 2012’s Silent Hill Downpour. Set in 1960s Japan, Silent Hill f plunges players into the story of Hinako Shimizu, a teenager navigating immense societal and personal pressures. Notably, as shown in its Japanese-language reveal trailer from March, it’s the first in the series to receive an 18+ rating in Japan. The game officially launches on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series on September 25.
Early reviews are in! IGN’s Silent Hill f review scored it 7/10, noting: “Silent Hill f presents a fresh new setting to explore and a fascinatingly dark story to unravel, but its melee-focussed combat takes a big swing that doesn’t quite land.”
For those wondering, Silent Hill f is a standalone experience, completely independent of previous entries in the Silent Hill series. This means you can jump right in, even if you’re new to the terrifying world of Silent Hill.
While the game officially unlocks for most on September 25, players who pre-order the digital deluxe edition can start their horrifying journey two days early, from September 23.
