Ahead of the vibrant Navratri festival, Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan brought smiles to his fans gathered outside his Mumbai home, Jalsa, by distributing thoughtful gifts. On Monday, the iconic actor shared a video on his X (formerly Twitter) account, capturing a delightful scene of enthusiastic fans showcasing their posters outside his residence, followed by his staff generously tossing dandiya sticks into the crowd. Bachchan himself then joined, greeting his fans with folded hands and waves, before personally taking over the distribution. Alongside the festive dandiya sticks, he also handed out helmets, embodying a message of safety and community spirit. This gesture was particularly inspired by Raghvendra Kumar, known as the ‘Helmet Man of India,’ whom Bachchan had recently met on ‘KBC 17.’ Kumar, who voluntarily distributes helmets to promote road safety, received high praise from Bachchan, who expressed his desire to emulate such noble acts. Bachchan shared his experience on X, writing, “T 5510 – Honoured to have met the ‘Helmet Man’ at KBC .. who voluntarily gives out helmets to bike riders for safety. A learning for me .. so I followed and gave out at the Sunday Fan meet .. dandiya sticks for dandiya and helmets to as many as I could .. Each day is a learning.” Raghvendra Kumar responded warmly to Bachchan’s gesture, calling his words and blessings the greatest award and expressing how the actor’s actions have helped his mission for a road accident-free India grow into a significant movement. Bachchan further elaborated on his blog about meeting the ‘Heroes on the floor’ segment guest on KBC, emphasizing the value of voluntary service and promoting safety. He recounted his satisfaction in fulfilling his promise to distribute helmets, noting that even a small start can lead to fruition with noble intent. The actor concluded by expressing his gratitude to the ‘Helmet Man’ and hoping that his gesture inspires many others to follow suit. Amitabh Bachchan, who has hosted the popular quiz show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ since its inception, was last seen in the Tamil film ‘Vettaiyan,’ marking his debut in the Tamil film industry.
