Fans of the dark fantasy series, Chained Soldier, have a thrilling update to look forward to! The ongoing TV anime has just released a captivating new piece of character art, spotlighting Konomi Tatara, the formidable leader of the first division. This exciting reveal builds anticipation as the series prepares for its second season, slated to premiere on Japanese television in January 2026.
Based on the popular manga penned by Takahiro and brought to life with illustrations by Yohei Takamura, Chained Soldier is serialized in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ magazine, with Yen Press making an English version available to fans worldwide.
Production for the upcoming second season is in capable hands, with Masafumi Tamura directing at animation studios Passione and Hayabusa Film. Yasuhiro Nakanishi is handling the series composition, Keiya Nakano is responsible for the character designs, and KOHTA YAMAMOTO is composing the music, ensuring a stellar continuation of the story.
For those new to the saga, Chained Soldier introduces a unique world where extraordinary superpowers are exclusive to women. Yuuki Wakura, a young man seemingly destined for an ordinary life, finds his fate irrevocably altered when he’s pulled into the monster-infested dimension of Mato. There, he is rescued by the commanding Kyouka Uzen, whose special ability grants Yuuki incredible temporary power – at the price of transforming him into her ‘inhuman slave.’ Astonished by Yuuki’s power in his transformed state, Kyouka decides to forge a permanent bond with him, a proposition Yuuki readily accepts. However, he soon discovers that his service extends beyond combat; he is also expected to serve as a maid and servant to her all-female combat unit, even when he isn’t fighting as her personal ‘Chained Soldier!’
