The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced a recruitment drive for Assistant positions, offering an excellent opportunity for eligible candidates to join the organization. Applications are being accepted online through the official RBI website, rbi.org.in, for a total of 650 Assistant posts.

The application window is open until March 8, 2026. Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the RBI Assistant position, candidates must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. For SC/ST/PwBD candidates, a pass class is acceptable. Additionally, candidates must have proficiency in word processing on a PC.
The age requirement for applicants is between 20 and 28 years. Specifically, candidates born between February 2, 1998, and February 1, 2006 (inclusive), are eligible to apply.
Selection Process
The selection of candidates will be based on a rigorous process that includes a preliminary examination, a main examination, and a Language Proficiency Test (LPT). The preliminary exam consists of 100 questions worth 100 marks and has a duration of 60 minutes. The main examination comprises 200 questions carrying 200 marks, with a total exam duration of 135 minutes. Candidates who successfully clear the preliminary exam will be eligible to appear for the main examination. Following the main examination, shortlisted candidates must undergo a Language Proficiency Test, which will assess their knowledge of the Official/Local Language(s) of the respective state. Candidates need to qualify in each section of the objective tests separately.
Examination Fee
The examination fee structure varies by category. Candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen categories are required to pay an application fee of ₹50/- plus 18% GST. For candidates in the General, OBC, and EWS categories, the fee is ₹450/- plus 18% GST. Payments must be made online.
