The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued a clear statement denying the authenticity of a letter that has been circulating regarding the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) 2024 results. The controversial letter, dated August 8, 2025, falsely claimed that the SSC would revise the CHSL 2024 results for certain candidates and instructed various ministries and departments to provide lists of unfilled vacancies to facilitate adjustments.
The SSC, however, clarified that no such decision has been taken and that the letter is completely forged. The commission strongly emphasized that candidates and departments should rely only on official SSC communications. This crucial clarification comes amid growing confusion and concern among aspirants following the letter’s wide circulation on social media and messaging platforms.
What the Forged Letter Claimed
The deceptive fake letter suggested the following:
- Certain candidates whose results were not reflected in the final CHSL 2024 results would have their outcomes reconsidered.
- Ministries and departments were supposedly required to provide updated vacancy lists to accommodate these proposed changes.
- The revision process, it claimed, would be conducted immediately to fill unallocated positions.
These instructions, the SSC confirmed, have absolutely no basis in reality. The commission stressed that the document is entirely unauthorized, fake, and designed to mislead.
Official SSC Statement
The SSC warned all stakeholders to ignore the fake letter completely and reassured candidates that the CHSL 2024 results are final and remain unchanged. The commission also reiterated that only e-dossiers are considered valid, as the system for physical dossiers has been discontinued.
Guidance for Candidates
To prevent falling victim to such misinformation, candidates are strongly advised to:
- Verify all communications exclusively on the official SSC website or other officially recognized SSC portals.
- Disregard any messages circulating on social media or unofficial channels that claim result revisions or special instructions.
- Stay consistently updated through official notifications, press releases, and verified SSC social media channels or email alerts.
- Report any suspicious messages or documents to the SSC immediately to help prevent the wider circulation of fake information.
