Character designs for both additions have also been released, giving us a first look at these fresh faces.
First up is Shurako, the cunning cousin of Mechako. Always plotting to usurp Mechako’s position and seize control of the Kaikigumi for herself, Shurako is bound to bring a mischievous dynamic to the series. She will be voiced by **Yoshino Aoyama**, known for her memorable roles as Hitori Goto in ‘BOCCHI THE ROCK!’ and Miwa Mikadono in ‘Dealing with Mikadono Sisters Is a Breeze.’
But it’s not just human characters joining the fray! The mysterious Doppelganger will be voiced by **Yuki Sakakihara**. This creature possesses the chilling ability to mimic any human form, and legend says that any human who encounters their own mimicked form will meet an untimely demise. Sakakihara’s previous work includes voicing Polka Shinoyama in ‘Dead Mount Death Play’ and Jushi Aimono in ‘HYPNOSISMIC -Division Rap Battle- Rhyme Anima.’
These new additions will join the previously announced main cast, which includes **Tasuku Hatanaka** as The Protagonist, **Ruriko Aoki** as Mechako, and **Shigeru Chiba** as The Narrator.
Based on the original ‘Let’s Go Kaikigumi’ manga by View, published by Shogakukan Creative with five volumes available in Japan, the anime promises a captivating experience. At its heart, ‘Let’s Go Kaikigumi’ follows a nameless protagonist, cursed with being six times more susceptible to spiritual phenomena than the average person. His life takes a drastic turn when he encounters Mechako, a enigmatic girl who leads the Kaikigumi—an organization dedicated to policing the unruly ghosts and monsters that threaten humanity. In a twist of fate, he finds himself roped into helping the Kaikigumi re-establish itself, leading to a cascade of strange events and spooky, yet hilarious, shenanigans.
