Baseball fans, get ready to cheer! The upcoming second season of Ace of the Diamond act II is expanding its lineup, bringing three talented new voice actors to the diamond. Fans can look forward to hearing Shugo Nakamura as Koya Urabe, Atsushi Tamaru as Soichi Nagira, and Kento Hama as Koji Nara. These additions promise to bring fresh energy to the beloved series.
Mark your calendars! The new season is set to hit screens in April 2026. But if you can’t wait, an exclusive advance screening of the first two episodes will be held on March 10th at Shinjuku Wald 9 in Tokyo. Attendees will have the special chance to see voice actors Ryota Osaka (who voices Eijun), Nobunaga Shimazaki (Satoru), and Takahiro Sakurai (Kazuya) in person.
Behind the scenes, Hideaki Oba, known for his work on Love of Kill, is directing the series at studio OLM. Kenji Konuta, a veteran of Ace of the Diamond, is handling the series composition, while Yasukazu Shoji (Restaurant to Another World Season 2) is designing the characters. The captivating music is composed by Hajime Hyakkoku, also from Ace of the Diamond act II. The entire Ace of the Diamond saga is based on the original manga created by Yuji Terajima.
For those new to the series or needing a refresher, Ace of the Diamond act II picks up with the Seido baseball club, who have earned an invitation to the prestigious spring invitational at Koshien Stadium. Young pitcher Sawamura is finally stepping onto the mound, facing intense competition. Their path to a national title is challenged by formidable opponents like Komadai Fujimaki, last year’s summer tournament champions, and their unstoppable ace, Masamune Hongo. It’s set to be another thrilling chapter in the world of youth baseball!
