Mizuki Ashiya’s adventure of disguising herself as a boy to infiltrate an all-male boarding school and meet her idol, high jump star Izumi Sano, is already full of potential for hilarity and drama. But the world of Hana-Kimi is set to expand even further with the reveal of a captivating new key visual and the announcement of three additional voice actors joining the cast.
The new key visual beautifully showcases the growing ensemble of characters, giving fans a fresh glimpse into the vibrant school life that awaits. These new additions will undoubtedly contribute to the camaraderie and comical deceptions Mizuki must navigate.
Joining the talented cast are:
- Megumi Tennouji, voiced by Masaaki Mizushima, known for his role as Keisuke Baji in Tokyo Revengers.
- Itsuki Kujo, brought to life by Junya Enoki, who famously portrays Yuji Itadori in JUJUTSU KAISEN.
- Masao Himejima, voiced by the legendary Takehito Koyasu, recognized for iconic characters like Dio Brando in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. Interestingly, Koyasu reprises his role as Himejima, the self-centered leader of the Daffodil Quintet, whom he first voiced in the Hana-Kimi drama CDs released two decades ago.
The anime is being brought to life at Studio Signal.MD, with Natsuki Takemura at the helm as director. Takao Yoshioka, known for his work on Horimiya, is handling series composition. Character designs are by Shiyi Su (Dragon Goes House-Hunting), and the music is composed by Masaru Yokoyama (Dealing with Mikadono Sisters Is a Breeze). Shigeru Ueda serves as assistant director.
Fans can look forward to streaming the Hana-Kimi anime adaptation as it airs on Crunchyroll. The series follows Mizuki’s audacious plan to meet Izumi Sano, only to discover upon her successful infiltration that he’s unexpectedly quit high-jumping. Now, Mizuki faces the daunting task of evading suspicion, maintaining her disguise, and somehow reigniting Sano’s passion for the sport, all while enduring the sheer pandemonium of an all-boys’ dorm.
