What is Always a Catch! About?
The story introduces us to Maria, the resolute daughter of a duke, who spent her formative years honing her martial arts prowess, confident that she would inherit her father’s dukedom. Marriage was a distant thought, secondary to her ambitions. However, her world is turned upside down with the arrival of a baby brother, which means she’s no longer the heir apparent! Suddenly, finding a spouse becomes a top priority, but Maria quickly realizes she might be a little late to the game, with eligible bachelors seemingly scarce.
Determined, she travels to a neighboring country to study abroad, hoping for better prospects. There, she’s confronted by the crown prince, who publicly declares their engagement null and void! The only problem? Maria has no recollection of such an engagement. It turns out he’s mistaken her for someone else. But once the misunderstanding is cleared, and the prince witnesses Maria’s incredible strength as she single-handedly dispatches a group of bandits, he begins to see her in a new light. Perhaps this fierce, ass-kicking young lady is exactly what he’s been looking for after all!
