Lego is kicking off 2026 with an exciting new collection of Marvel building sets! Six new sets are slated for release on January 1st, and while Spider-Man features prominently in four of them, the true centerpiece is a stunning tribute to Iron Man: the Mark 3 Collector’s Edition. This impressive 1,297-piece display model, designed for adult collectors, is surprisingly affordable at $130.
If you’re a Spider-Man enthusiast, you can already preorder the “Spider-Man vs. Mysterio: The Daily Bugle” playset for $100. Other upcoming Marvel sets, like the “Epic Battle” models featuring Hulkbuster vs. The Hulk and Spider-Man vs. Sandman, aren’t available for preorder just yet. But keep an eye out for the smaller playsets, including the cool “Spider-Man vs. Venomized Wolverine” and “Spider-Man vs. Ghost Rider and his Motorcycle.”
The Iron Man Mark 3 Collector’s Edition is more than just a model; it’s designed to usher in a new era for adult-focused Lego Marvel sets. Much like the popular Harry Potter and Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series, this “Collector’s Edition” designation signals a premium, highly detailed build. The Mark 3 figure stands out as arguably Lego’s most realistic and best-looking Iron Man creation to date, faithfully capturing the iconic suit from Robert Downey Jr.’s debut in the 2008 film. Its significance in MCU lore makes it the perfect choice to launch this exclusive series.
This meticulously detailed 1,297-piece figure stands over 15 inches tall on its buildable display stand. Depending on the pose, it measures up to 8 inches wide and 4 inches deep, boasting multiple points of articulation in the neck, shoulders, waist, wrists, and hands. A satisfying final step in the build is connecting the Arc Reactor, and the gold-lacquered pieces appear even more vibrant than those on the earlier Lego Iron Man MK4 Bust. It also comes with a display nameplate and a newly designed Iron Man minifigure, complete with removable helmet and retractable visor, depicting Tony Stark himself. For those who enjoy building with friends, the Lego Builder app offers a “Build Together” feature, allowing up to four Marvel fans to construct this new Iron Man figure collaboratively.
Interestingly, the Iron Man Mark 3 follows another Iron Man-led series. Last June, the Iron Man Mark IV Armor kicked off Lego’s line of Marvel busts. That 436-piece Iron Man MK4 Bust is currently available for $48 (originally $60), and you can also find a 20% discount on the Iron Spider-Man Bust that was released in August.
