The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced significant updates regarding the JEE Main 2026 examination for its first session. Aspiring engineering students can now find comprehensive details about the application process, important dates, eligibility criteria, and application fees for JEE Main 2026 Session-I.
This year’s JEE Main exam is set to be conducted in two sessions, providing ample opportunities for students to showcase their talent and secure a seat in top engineering colleges. The NTA has made the online application form available starting October 31, 2025, with the last date to apply being November 27, 2025, by 9:00 PM. The examination fees must also be paid by this date.

- Exam Dates: January 21 – 30, 2026
- Exam City Slip: First week of January 2026 (Tentative)
- Admit Card Release: 3-4 days before the exam
- Result Announcement: By February 12, 2026
- Session-II (April 2026) (Tentative Dates):
- Application Start Date: Last week of January 2026

Application Fees:
Prospective candidates are required to note the following application fees:
- For Paper I Only:
- General (Male): ₹1000/-
- General (Female): ₹800/-
- OBC (NCL) / EWS (Male): ₹900/-
- OBC (NCL) / EWS (Female): ₹800/-
- SC / ST (Male / Female): ₹500/-
- Persons with Disability (PwD) / Third Gender: ₹500/-
- For Both Paper I & II:
- General / OBC / EWS (Male): ₹2000/-
- General / OBC / EWS (Female): ₹1600/-
- SC / ST (Male / Female): ₹1000/-
- Persons with Disability (PwD) / Third Gender: ₹1000/-
- Payment can be made through the online mode.
Eligibility Criteria:
- For B.E. / B.Tech: Candidates must have passed their 12th grade with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or Technical Vocational Subjects.
- For B.Arch: A pass in the 12th grade with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics is required.
- For B.Planning: Candidates need to have passed their 12th grade with Mathematics.
Age Limit:
There is no age limit for appearing in the JEE Main 2026 examination.
