Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco appear to be gearing up for a significant global smartphone launch, as four new devices have been spotted on Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) certification website. These listings strongly suggest the imminent international release of the Xiaomi 17 global variant, alongside new Poco and Redmi models, specifically the Poco F8 Pro, Poco F8 Ultra, and the Redmi Note 15. The certifications provide insight into the devices’ model numbers and their supported connectivity features. It’s worth noting that the Xiaomi 17 has already made its debut in China.
Xiaomi 17 Global Variant Receives IMDA Certification
The Xiaomi 17 was identified on Singapore’s IMDA certification site with the model number 25113PN0EG, signaling an upcoming global launch. Simultaneously, the Poco F8 Pro and Poco F8 Ultra surfaced on the platform, carrying model numbers 2510DPC44G and 25102PCBE, respectively.
All three of these models are confirmed to offer 5G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and NFC support. However, no further technical details were disclosed in these listings. Separately, the Redmi Note 15 4G was also sighted on the IMDA website with model number 2510DRA23E. This device is confirmed to support Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and NFC, but notably lacks 5G capabilities.
The collective appearance of these four devices on the IMDA database strongly indicates that their official global introductions are rapidly approaching. These listings were initially discovered by X (formerly Twitter) user Anvin (@ZionsAnvin) and subsequently verified by Gadgets 360.
The Xiaomi 17 launched in China back in September, featuring a vibrant 6.3-inch 1.5K OLED display and powered by the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. This premium handset offers configurations with up to 16GB of RAM and a massive 1TB of internal storage. For photography enthusiasts, it boasts a Leica-tuned triple rear camera system, each sensor being 50-megapixel, complemented by a 50-megapixel front-facing camera. Powering the device is a robust 7,000mAh battery, complete with support for incredibly fast 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
The Poco F8 Ultra also made headlines recently when it was spotted on the NBTC website, bearing the model number 25102PCBEG. Rumors suggest it will be equipped with the same powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and a large 7,000mAh battery that supports 100W wired fast charging. Its camera system is expected to include a triple rear setup, each with a 50-megapixel sensor, and the device is anticipated to feature an IP69 rating for enhanced durability.
The Poco F8 Ultra is expected to be unveiled alongside its sibling, the Poco F8 Pro. The Pro model is set to succeed the previous Poco F7 Pro. Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 15 is anticipated to bring significant upgrades compared to last year’s Redmi Note 14 model.
