The highly anticipated iQOO 15 is gearing up for its official India launch on November 26, following its unveiling in China approximately a month prior. Recent updates to its dedicated microsite on Amazon India have not only teased the device in sleek black and white finishes but also confirmed its availability through the popular e-commerce platform. Now, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has officially unveiled the names of these two striking color variants.
For the Indian market, the iQOO 15 is confirmed to feature the same powerful Snapdragon chipset as its Chinese counterpart, promising robust performance. Additionally, users can look forward to a vibrant 2K resolution display boasting an ultra-smooth 144Hz refresh rate. Further details, including local pricing and various storage configurations, are expected to be announced as the launch date draws nearer.
iQOO 15 to Dazzle in ‘Alpha’ and ‘Legend’ Shades in India
Vivo’s sub-brand has officially announced that its flagship iQOO 15 will be available in India in two distinct color options: ‘Alpha’ (black) and ‘Legend’ (white). The ‘Legend’ variant will proudly display the company’s refreshed “tri-color pattern logo” on its rear panel, adding a unique touch. While the Amazon microsite had previously hinted at these two finishes, their official designations were kept under wraps until now.
As confirmed by iQOO India head Nipun Marya, the iQOO 15 is indeed launching on November 26, clarifying earlier teasers about a November 27 debut. This powerful handset will be driven by Qualcomm’s latest 3nm octa-core Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, paired with high-speed LPDDR5x Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 onboard storage for seamless operation and rapid data access. To further enhance its gaming capabilities, the device is teased to include a Q3 Supercomputing gaming chip, identical to the one found in its Chinese version. It will also run on the Android 16-based OriginOS 6, offering a refined and intuitive user experience.
The Indian variant of the iQOO 15 is also confirmed to feature a stunning 2K resolution screen, providing an immersive visual experience with up to a 144Hz refresh rate. Gamers will appreciate its confirmed support for Ray Tracing, which brings a new level of realism to graphics. To ensure sustained peak performance, the device will incorporate an 8,000 sq mm single-layer vapor chamber plate, effectively managing heat during intensive use.
While comprehensive specifications for the iQOO 15’s Indian variant are still awaited, the teased features strongly suggest it will largely mirror its Chinese predecessor, which was unveiled on October 20. The Chinese iQOO 15 sports a 6.85-inch Samsung M14 AMOLED display with a 2K (1,440×3,168 pixel) resolution, a 130Hz screen sampling rate, and up to a 144Hz refresh rate. It also includes an Adreno 840 GPU and a versatile triple-rear camera system, highlighted by a 50-megapixel primary sensor.
The iQOO 15 is equipped with a substantial 7,000mAh battery, complemented by blazing-fast 100W wired and 40W wireless charging support. In China, the smartphone is available in a variety of captivating finishes, including Legendary Edition (silver), Track Edition (black), Lingyun (grey), and Wilderness (green).
