The much-anticipated Realme GT 8 Pro is confirmed to arrive in India this November, as announced by the company. Following its Chinese debut, this premium device from the Realme GT 8 series will feature Qualcomm’s advanced Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, enhanced by a dedicated HyperVision AI chip for superior performance. Consumers in India will be able to purchase the flagship phone via the official Realme India website and the popular e-commerce platform. While the Pro variant’s launch is confirmed, details regarding the standard Realme GT 8’s availability in India are yet to be revealed.
Realme GT 8 Pro: India Launch Details and Expected Specifications
Realme took to X (formerly Twitter) to confirm the November launch of its flagship GT 8 Pro in India. Dedicated microsites further solidify that the Realme GT 8 Pro will be available in the country via Flipkart and the company’s online store.
Additionally, the microsite suggests that the Indian variant of the Realme GT 8 Pro will be powered by the same chipset, dubbed Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, as its Chinese counterpart. It is also confirmed to ship with a Ricoh GR-tuned rear camera unit and will be equipped with the HyperVision AI chip, promising advanced imaging capabilities and optimized performance.
The China-based tech firm first unveiled the Realme GT 8 Pro, alongside the vanilla Realme GT 8, in China on October 21. Pricing for the base model, featuring 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, was set at CNY 3,999 (approximately Rs. 50,000). The top-tier variant, offering a generous 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, was priced at CNY 5,199 (around Rs. 64,000). The phone is available in attractive Blue, White, and Green color options.
In China, the Realme GT 8 Pro boasts an immersive 6.79-inch QHD+ (1,440×3,136 pixels) AMOLED flexible display, offering a smooth 144Hz refresh rate, an impressive peak brightness of 7,000 nits, and support for 1.07 billion colors. With a pixel density of 508ppi and a 3,200Hz touch sampling rate, the display promises a vibrant and responsive user experience. Under the hood, it’s powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, coupled with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 internal storage. Keeping the device running is a robust 7,000mAh battery with support for lightning-fast 120W wired charging.
