The National Testing Agency (NTA) is preparing to launch the registration process for JEE Mains 2026 Session 1. Aspiring candidates can soon apply for the Joint Entrance Examination through the official NTA JEE website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
According to the NTA, registrations for JEE Mains Session 1 are tentatively slated to commence in October 2025.
The JEE Mains 2026 examination will be conducted in two sessions. Session 1 is scheduled to take place from January 21 to 30, 2026, followed by Session 2 from April 1 to 10, 2026.
The examination comprises two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is crucial for admissions to undergraduate engineering programs (B.E. / B. Tech.) across NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), and participating government-funded institutions. It also serves as an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), which leads to admission into IITs. Paper 2 is designed for those seeking admission to B. Arch and B. Planning courses nationwide.
