The highly anticipated ‘Ramayana: Part 1’, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, is shaping up to be one of Bollywood’s most ambitious projects for 2026. The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman. Following reports that Ranbir Kapoor had given up alcohol and non-vegetarian food to embody Lord Rama, Ravie Dubey has now confirmed the significant sacrifices made by the entire cast and crew for this epic undertaking.
During a recent appearance on ‘The Ranveer Show’ with his wife Sargun Mehta, Ravie Dubey expressed his gratitude to director Nitesh Tiwari and the producers. He spoke about the profound impact the project has had on him, stating, “That role changed me. I had to transform myself to do justice to it because the audience can easily tell when you are faking it. I completely altered my routine. In fact, all of us did including Ranbir Kapoor. He has sacrificed so much for this film. This feels more like a yagya. We all did everything in our power to stay true to these characters in how we behave, react, and even speak.”

Dubey also shared his positive experiences working with his prominent co-stars, Ranbir Kapoor and Yash. Describing Ranbir, he said, “Ranbir has an incredible aura. He’s quiet, graceful, and deeply committed. Ranbir carries a very soft energy — and I think that’s something everyone who meets him would feel.” He added that Yash is an “extremely friendly person — very warm and genuine,” noting that both actors, despite their different styles, are equally kind-hearted.
‘Ramayana: Part 1’ is slated for a Diwali 2026 release, with ‘Ramayana: Part 2’ scheduled to follow in Diwali 2027.
