Google has launched an initiative to make replacing components for its Pixel Buds 2a and Pixel Buds Pro 2 much more straightforward. Previously, if you lost or damaged a true wireless earbud (TWS), you had to complete a self-service form on Google’s support website to get a replacement. Now, this procedure has been significantly streamlined, allowing customers to purchase replacement parts directly from the Google Store in India, the United States, and various other regions.
Pixel Buds 2a and Buds Pro 2: Pricing and Availability of Replacement Parts
In India, customers can now buy individual replacement earbuds for the Pixel Buds 2a, available for either ear. These are offered in both Iris and Hazel color choices, each priced at Rs. 6,499. Additionally, Google is selling Pixel Buds 2a Replacement Eartips for Rs. 1,900 in the Hazel color, with options for extra small, small, medium, and large sizes.
For customers in the US, Google also offers a replacement charging case for the Pixel Buds 2a, which costs $55 (approximately Rs. 4,837).
Similarly, replacement parts for the Pixel Buds Pro 2 are now obtainable. Individual replacement earbuds for the Pro 2 are priced at $70 (around Rs. 6,200) and come in a variety of colors including Porcelain, Hazel, Wintergreen, Peony, and Moonstone. The replacement case for the Pixel Buds Pro 2 is available for $95 (approximately Rs. 8,400), and replacement eartips are priced at $20 (about Rs. 1,760).
Google has not yet confirmed if the Pixel Buds Pro 2 replacement components will be made available in the Indian market. The company advises that the availability of replacement parts is subject to change based on region and time, and specific colors may also vary.
It’s worth noting that the Pixel Buds 2a were initially introduced in India during the Made by Google event in August. They retail for Rs. 12,999 and are sold through Flipkart in Hazel and Iris color options.
