The Baltimore Ravens are struggling this NFL season, currently sitting at a disappointing 1-5. In an attempt to turn their fortunes around, the coaching staff has reportedly removed various recreational items from the team’s locker room, hoping to help players sharpen their focus.
Reports indicate that a range of leisure equipment, including video game consoles, cornhole boards, a ping pong table, and even a basketball hoop, have been temporarily cleared out of the team’s shared space.
According to a writer from The Baltimore Sun, some Ravens players particularly enjoyed playing games like Super Smash Bros. in the locker room, often gathering teammates to watch the action. However, those days are on hold, as players were informed that the coaching staff’s goal was to eliminate distractions.
The decision to remove video games reportedly came after the Ravens began the season with a 1-3 record. Since then, the team has lost two more games, further deepening their current 1-5 hole.
“The only worse thing is 0-6, so yes, it’s a big hole. We’re going to have to bounce back,” shared center Tyler Linderbaum. “We have 11 games left to try to run the table.”
The Ravens are scheduled to play their next game this Sunday, October 26, at home against the Chicago Bears, who currently hold a 4-2 record.
