Fans of the dark fantasy series ‘Magical Girl Raising Project’ have a thrilling update to look forward to! The anime adaptation of Asari Endo and Maruino’s ‘Magical Girl Raising Project Restart’ light novels just released an exciting new trailer, offering a deeper look into its world. Accompanying the trailer is a captivating teaser visual, setting the stage for its anticipated broadcast in 2026.
The newly unveiled trailer also features the anime’s opening song, titled ‘No tears here,’ performed by the talented Minori Chihara, known for her work on ‘Violet Evergarden.’ For the ending theme, ‘ReMind,’ Daisy x Daisy will lend their unique sound, familiar to fans of ‘Fairy Tail.’
Bringing this intense story to the screen is studio SynergySP, with Hiroyuki Hashimoto at the helm as director. Hashimoto previously served as assistant director for ‘TOUGEN ANKI.’ The series composition is handled by Takao Yoshioka, while Masako Ito is responsible for the character designs. It’s worth noting that Hashimoto directed and Takao Yoshioka wrote for the first ‘Magical Girl Raising Project’ anime series, where Ito also contributed as an SD character designer, ensuring a consistent creative vision for this new chapter.
For those unfamiliar with the original series, ‘Magical Girl Raising Project’ begins as a popular social game. It offers players a one in ten thousand chance to transform into a real-life Magical Girl, each blessed with unique abilities to help others. However, the seemingly innocent game takes a sinister turn when Fav, the magical administrator fairy, decides to drastically cut the number of Magical Girls. What was once a benevolent game quickly transforms into a brutal battlefield, as 16 magical girls are thrust into a twisted fight for survival against each other. ‘Magical Girl Raising Project Restart’ promises to continue this thrilling, darker take on the magical girl genre.
