Ever wondered if you can team up with your buddies across different platforms in Arc Raiders? Facing the dangers of the topside world alone can be risky, but sometimes, bringing a squad along is essential for survival. What if your friends play on a different console? We’ve got the answers!
The Arc Raiders Server Slam is currently live, giving players an exciting opportunity to jump into the action. With everyone invited, a common question arises: Can you join forces with friends playing on different systems? Let’s explore how you can invite others to this thrilling multiplayer game and confirm Arc Raiders’ crossplay capabilities.
Is Crossplay Available in Arc Raiders?
Good news, adventurers! Arc Raiders fully supports crossplay, and it’s active right out of the box. This means you can effortlessly squad up with – or go head-to-head against – players across PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms. To bring your friends into the fray, simply navigate to the social menu (represented by two figures in the bottom right of your screen) and add them using their unique Embark ID.
When you first launch the game, you’ll be prompted to create an Embark ID. If you ever forget it or decide to change your handle, don’t worry! You can easily manage your username through the social menu by interacting with your profile picture, where options to copy, display, or edit your ID will be available.
How to Turn Off Crossplay in Arc Raiders
Should you prefer to play exclusively with others on your platform, disabling crossplay is straightforward. Simply navigate to the in-game settings menu, then select the ‘Gameplay’ section. Within this menu, you’ll locate the crossplay option, which you can easily toggle ‘off’.
Now that you’re well-versed in Arc Raiders’ crossplay features, gather your most strategic or most aggressive friends and conquer the topside world together! While this playtest may be brief, the future holds many exciting developments for the game. Keep an eye out for more thrilling updates.
