Now, for its 20th anniversary, fans can rejoice as it’s finally getting a 4K Blu-ray steelbook edition! You can pre-order the Aeon Flux 20th Anniversary Steelbook Edition 4K Blu-ray for $34 before its October 7 release.
The film plunges us into a dystopian future where a devastating virus has wiped out most of humanity. Centuries later, the remnants of civilization thrive within the fortified city of Bregna, ruled by a council of scientists under Trevor Goodchild. Our protagonist, the telepathic warrior Aeon Flux (Charlize Theron), is tasked by a shadowy organization to eliminate Goodchild. Yet, as she delves deeper, Aeon uncovers a sprawling conspiracy that threatens to expose the true secrets of Bregna City.
Aeon Flux: The Complete Animated Collection
While the live-action film has its merits, many argue it can’t quite compare to the original animated series. If you’re curious about the source material, the Aeon Flux: The Complete Animated Series Collection Director’s Cut is available on DVD for $13.51 (originally $17). This set not only includes all episodes but also features insightful bonus content like a commentary track from creator Peter Chung, behind-the-scenes featurettes, production art, and classic TV shorts.
