Vivo Pad 5e Debuts: A Deep Dive into Price, Specifications, and Key Features of Vivo’s Latest Tablet

Vivo has officially launched the Pad 5e in China, its newest tablet addition. The device made its debut during a major event on September 25, where the company also unveiled its flagship Vivo X300 and X300 Pro smartphones. The Pad 5e seamlessly joins the existing Vivo Pad 5 series, which already includes the standard Pad 5 and Pad 5 Pro models. In addition to the new phones and tablet, Vivo also introduced the new Vivo Watch GT 2 and TWS 5 earbuds. This sleek new tablet boasts a generous 12-inch display and is powered by the high-performance Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. It will be available in a selection of three attractive color options.

Vivo Pad 5e: Pricing and Availability Details

The Vivo Pad 5e kicks off at a price of CNY 1,999 (approximately Rs. 25,000) for its entry-level configuration, featuring 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. For those requiring more power and space, higher-tier variants are also available. The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model is priced at CNY 2,299 (about Rs. 29,000), while the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage option comes in at CNY 2,599 (roughly Rs. 32,000). The top-tier model, offering a substantial 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, will retail for CNY 2,999 (approximately Rs. 37,000).

Additionally, a “soft light” version of the Vivo Pad 5e is available, with prices set at CNY 2,199 (around Rs. 27,000) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration and CNY 2,499 (about Rs. 31,000) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model.

The standard Vivo Pad 5e will be offered in stunning blue, classic black, and elegant pink color choices. The special soft light edition, however, will be exclusively available in blue and black. Enthusiasts can get their hands on the Vivo Pad 5e starting October 17, when it officially goes on sale through Vivo’s online store in China.

Vivo Pad 5e: In-Depth Specifications

The Vivo Pad 5e comes pre-installed with OriginOS 5, Vivo’s custom Android 15-based operating system, which was globally unveiled in China on October 10. The tablet showcases an impressive 12.1-inch display, delivering a sharp 2.8K resolution and an ultra-smooth refresh rate of up to 144Hz. Under the hood, the Pad 5e is driven by the powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, complemented by up to 16GB of RAM and a generous 512GB of onboard storage. The base model ensures speedy performance with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 internal storage.

For an immersive audio experience, Vivo’s new tablet is equipped with a four-speaker panoramic acoustic setup. It also integrates a suite of cutting-edge AI-powered tools, including AI transcription, a “Circle to Search” feature, and an AI PPT assistant. Enhanced productivity features like multi-screen interconnection, seamless small window collaboration, and convenient wireless printing are also supported.

In terms of photography, the Vivo Pad 5e features a single rear camera neatly housed within a distinctive circular module. This rear camera boasts an 8-megapixel sensor. For selfies and video calls, the tablet is fitted with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

Powering the Vivo Pad 5e is a substantial 10,000mAh battery, ensuring extended usage. It supports rapid 44W wired fast charging via its USB Type-C port. Connectivity options include the latest WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 standards. For enhanced security, the tablet also incorporates facial recognition technology. The standard model of the Vivo Pad 5e measures 266.43x192x6.62mm and weighs approximately 584 grams, making it a portable yet capable device.
