Dominating the Arena: Your Ultimate 2XKO Tier List and Top Champion Rankings

Reading Time: 9 min

Ever wonder who truly stands at the top of the 2XKO tier list? Get ready to assemble your dream team of League of Legends champions and face down the toughest rivals online! While 2XKO’s roster might seem smaller than its MOBA predecessor, the incredible variety of team combinations available guarantees endless, fresh gameplay. To truly dominate in this thrilling fighting game, you’ll need to master pairing 2XKO characters who complement each other perfectly, giving you countless ways to break through your opponent’s defenses. With new champions joining the fray each season, expect the 2XKO meta to evolve regularly, especially as we approach the official launch. Below, we break down each champion, revealing what they bring to your team and where they stand in the current rankings.

Our 2XKO tier list is carefully crafted from extensive in-game experience, analysis of tournament outcomes, and observations from high-level competitive matches. The good news? There are no truly ‘bad’ characters in 2XKO, so you can pick your favorites without fear of making a wrong choice. We know Teemo is joining the roster for early access, and we’ll be sure to update this list with his rankings once we’ve had a chance to put him through his paces.

Keep in mind that the game is still relatively new. We fully expect players to discover new techniques that could revolutionize how certain champions are played, not to mention future balance patches that could completely shake up the meta. This tier list focuses on individual character strength, not specific team synergies.

Tier Characters
S Yasuo, Illaoi, Ekko, Jinx
A Warwick, Vi, Darius, Braum, Ahri
B Teemo, Blitzcrank

S-Tier

Yasuo

Yasuo, the highly technical swordsman, demands dedication to truly master. His complex moveset requires hours of practice to unlock its full potential, allowing him to string together elaborate, cinematic combos. With lightning-fast strikes that chain into further devastating attacks, Yasuo can relentlessly cut down opponents. His only minor drawback lies in his assist options, but his sheer power makes him a prime candidate for your point character slot. Yasuo is undeniably one of the strongest fighters in the game, but be prepared to put in the time and effort to unleash his true potential.

Illaoi

For players who prefer impactful, heavy hits, Illaoi is your champion. This powerhouse can dismantle opponents with her wide-reaching attacks. Land just one hit, and you’re immediately set up to unleash a torrent of additional damage. What’s fantastic about Illaoi is that she doesn’t demand pixel-perfect execution, making her an excellent choice for newcomers learning the game’s mechanics. Her assists and supers are among the best, utilizing spectral tentacles that create unique and powerful combo opportunities for both Illaoi and her teammates. As with many brawler-style characters, she can be vulnerable to projectile spammers, but by adapting to your matchups, you’ll find great success.

Ekko

Ekko’s greatest asset is his ability to create afterimage clones, effectively forcing your opponent to track up to three threats on screen. Once an afterimage is deployed, Ekko’s mix-up game explodes, giving him easy access to devastating cross-up attacks and overheads. He also wields Timewinder, a projectile that slows foes on impact, setting up lethal combos. While his combo demands aren’t as high as Yasuo’s, truly mastering the afterimage mechanic will transform Ekko into an absolute nightmare for opponents. To fully utilize this tricky fighter, you must be adept at varying your attack patterns. Predictable play will negate the value of his afterimages, and without successful mix-ups, you might find another character a better fit.

Jinx

Unleash Jinx’s chaotic arsenal to control the battlefield! She excels at zoning opponents, frustrating them with a relentless storm of projectiles. Her assists further enhance this capability, providing easy approaches for allies who might struggle with ranged combat. If Jinx isn’t launching rockets from across the screen, she’s strategically placing traps to create advantageous setups, allowing her to dictate the flow of battle. While not a true weakness, Jinx shines brightest in the hands of patient players who can wait for the opportune moment to strike. She may not generate as many self-sufficient combo opportunities as others, but her powerful zoning abilities more than compensate, making her a formidable and annoying opponent.

A-Tier

Warwick

Warwick is a terrifying rushdown beast, engineered to give opponents absolutely no breathing room. He leverages his incredible speed to constantly keep foes guessing, tearing through defenses with a flurry of slashes. Unique to his kit is one of 2XKO’s rare invulnerable anti-air attacks, compelling opponents to reconsider any aerial approaches. His Bloodlust ability elevates his aggression, unlocking some of the best mix-up potential in the game. As he’s still relatively new, his ultimate power is still being fully explored. However, his low execution barrier, with simple yet damaging bread-and-butter combos, makes him an excellent choice for beginners. All signs point to Warwick being a strong contender, especially when partnered with a zoning character to cover his minor vulnerabilities.

Vi

Vi is a close-quarters brawler who can unleash devastating flurries of punches in an instant. Her “Footwork” ability allows her to effortlessly weave through projectiles, bringing her safely into striking distance. Vi is most lethal on the ground, where her rapid pokes can shut down enemy offenses and extend into impressive combo strings. The challenge for Vi, however, lies in the fact that much of 2XKO’s combat often takes place in the air. This is where her weaknesses become apparent, as her aerial attacks are arguably the weakest in the game. Nevertheless, for composed players who can keep the fight grounded, Vi remains a formidable threat.

Darius

Darius shines brightest in lower ranks, cleaving through foes with his massive axe and applying a debilitating bleed effect. His combos are remarkably straightforward, and he can often get away with liberally throwing out normal attacks without fear of easy punishment. However, skilled opponents can exploit his slower movements with advanced defensive maneuvers like retreating guard and parry, effectively halting his aggression. Despite this, Darius offers powerful offensive and defensive assists, making him a valuable asset even when he’s not actively fighting. While certainly not a weak character, Darius struggles at the highest levels of play, lacking the necessary tools to consistently pierce elite defenses.

Braum

Grapplers rarely top popularity polls, and Braum is no exception, often being one of the less chosen champions in 2XKO. Yet, this has no bearing on his formidable strength. Braum can trap opponents in a relentless vortex, forcing agonizing guesses on wake-up. A single incorrect decision can give Braum the opening he needs to finish a match in as few as three simple combos. He feels like an enhanced version of Blitzcrank but shares similar vulnerabilities. Braum becomes particularly disadvantaged if his partner falls first, as his options against projectiles are severely limited, making it incredibly difficult to close the distance.

Ahri

Ahri stands out as one of 2XKO’s most agile fighters, boasting an instant air dash that provides exceptional movement for creating openings. She can unleash lengthy block strings that convert into combos upon a successful hit, though the damage output is heavily tied to player execution. Currently, Ahri feels more suited to a support role rather than a primary point character, largely due to her potent assists. Her most impactful combos are challenging to perform consistently, and if you’re investing significant training time for high-damage routes, characters like Yasuo might offer a more rewarding return for your effort.

B-Tier

Teemo

Don’t let Teemo’s small stature fool you. While a tiny Yordle might seem out of place among 2XKO’s formidable robots and werewolves, he’s surprisingly capable. Armed with an arsenal primarily focused on survival and disruption, Teemo is built to exasperate opponents using blow darts, wild mushrooms, and even thrown rocks to halt their momentum. He’ll likely remain a niche pick due to his unconventional moveset, which won’t appeal to everyone. However, this doesn’t make him a bad character; just be prepared to invest considerable effort to maximize his combo damage. If Teemo is your last standing character, you’ll face an uphill battle unless the opposing team is already on their last legs.

Blitzcrank

Upon Blitzcrank’s debut in the closed beta, many in the community believed he would be an unstoppable force. However, those sentiments quickly shifted as players learned to circumvent his devastating command grabs. Despite this, Blitzcrank remains a strong choice, boasting some of the best assists in the game. Yet, like most grapplers, his playstyle can be inconsistent. His significant weakness is his vulnerability to projectiles, which can entirely shut down his offensive pressure, making it incredibly tough to initiate attacks. That said, once he gets in, a single combo can lead to a potent 50/50 mix-up that can completely turn the tide of a match. If you thrive on those high-stakes gambles, Blitzcrank might just be your perfect fighter.
