It’s widely known that actor Ibrahim Ali Khan has a speech and hearing impediment, a result of jaundice during his childhood. However, following the release of his films ‘Nadaaniyan’ and ‘Sarzameen’, Ibrahim appears to be openly embracing his lisp. In a recent advertisement for a retail brand, he lent his own voice for the dubbing, impressing many with his authentic presentation.

Ibrahim Ali Khan’s new ad
In the ad, Ibrahim showcases a new sneaker collection, comparing it to a cocktail crafted with ‘two shots of swagger,’ a ‘splash of wild,’ and a dash of ‘rebellion.’ He concludes the ad with the memorable line, “Crafted to raise hell, not glasses.” He shared the video with the caption, “Footwear that hits harder than any pour. #StayWrogn #Sneakers.”
This isn’t the first time Ibrahim has surprised audiences with his own voice. In a September ad for the same brand, he addressed his impediment, stating, “Some people are born gifted, and some, born imperfect. As for me, I was born imperfect. And that’s okay, man. Perfection is just overrated, yaar.”
Fans impressed by Ibrahim’s authenticity
Ibrahim’s decision to dub the ad himself, despite his lisp, has resonated positively with fans. Comments like, “Even selling shoes looks cinematic with him,” and “i’m so glad you’re not using a dub. your voice is beautiful and so are you,” flooded in. Another admirer praised his natural approach, stating, “He is being natural and authentic and it takes gutssss, hats offf.”
One particularly supportive fan wrote, “I know my comment will get lost amid the noise @iak but this right here, you being brave is the way to go! Please don’t focus on the negative comments. You recording your vulnerability is the first stone you’ve set in building a foundation that will open up so many hearts to you! Keep being you.” Many others echoed the sentiment, with comments like “king of charm” and “pour me whatever he’s having.”
