Popular Texas-based gaming influencer Fandy recently caused a stir by livestreaming the birth of her second child on Twitch. In a subsequent Instagram post, Fandy shared her reasons for this decision, stating that the stream captured the entirety of the birth process, including the less glamorous moments. Luna Rose, Fandy’s second child, was born on October 8. Fandy expressed that she wanted to share this significant event with her online community, with whom she has cultivated a relationship over the past decade.
Responding to public reactions, Fandy addressed criticism in her Instagram post. She drew parallels to other documented births, emphasizing that her live broadcast simply presented the entire process in real-time. Fandy also revealed that she opted for a home birth due to a difficult experience giving birth to her first child in a hospital setting.
Addressing financial motivation claims, Fandy clarified that the livestream was not primarily for monetary gain. She stated that neither she nor her partner Bryan requested subscriptions, set monetary goals, or focused on receiving ‘bits’ during the birth. Furthermore, Fandy announced her decision to deactivate her OnlyFans account, recommitting to her roots as a streamer and content creator. She views this as the beginning of a new chapter in her career.
