Among my personal tattoos, one stands out as a tribute to a video game: Jin Sakai’s iconic mask from Ghost of Tsushima, complete with its striking red arrows. This masterpiece is easily one of the finest action games ever crafted, and even at its original price, it’s a worthwhile investment. But right now, with a historic price drop, there’s never been a better moment to experience this incredible journey and add it to your gaming library.
Ghost of Tsushima seamlessly combines a deeply personal narrative with breathtaking combat mechanics that set it apart from other samurai-themed titles. Beyond its flawless blend of story and action, the game features a stunning open world that invites players to fully immerse themselves in a beautifully rendered, yet war-torn, island.
You can currently grab the Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut for PC at a significant discount. For US, CA, BR, MX, AU, PH, SG, IN, JP, CN, KR regions, it’s available for only $35.99 (originally $59.99). For GB, DE, FR regions, it’s priced at £29.99 (originally £49.99).
Step into the sandals of Jin Sakai, a young samurai bound by his clan’s traditions. When a brutal Mongol invasion leaves him for dead, Jin must forsake his honorable code, defying his adoptive father, Lord Shimura. He transforms into the ‘Ghost of Tsushima,’ adopting stealth and assassination tactics to liberate his homeland from enemy control.
A captivating video showcasing the intense action and stunning visuals of Ghost of Tsushima.
This is one of the best storylines I’ve seen in a game, because even though the war against Khotun Khan and his army is drastic and urgent, the main narrative remains Jin Sakai’s conflict with Lord Shimura. Seeing both of these things weigh on your protagonist makes for an engaging narrative, and seeing Jin slowly become this symbol for the people remains gripping throughout the whole 30-hour runtime.
Developer Sucker Punch masterfully executes Jin’s combat system, presenting his unmatched katana skills alongside a diverse arsenal of ‘Ghost’ tools acquired during his journey. Players must dynamically adapt their fighting style, swiftly changing stances to effectively counter various enemy types, armor, and gear when facing overwhelming numbers.
Ghost of Tsushima is a brilliant masterpiece that cohesively blends captivating atmosphere, compelling writing, and satisfying gameplay. While not without its minor flaws, such as some conventional open-world checklist-style side content, these elements, though exciting, often struggle to hold the same gripping appeal as the exquisitely crafted main narrative.
While PlayStation 5 owners are already enjoying the sequel, Ghost of Yotei, PC gamers are still awaiting its arrival. Thankfully, the original Ghost of Tsushima is an absolute must-play, and you can now get the Director’s Cut, including the Iki Island expansion, for an incredible price of just $35.99 or £29.99.
So, prepare your samurai armor and seize the opportunity to own one of the finest PC games available, especially while this fantastic discount lasts.
