Netflix has unveiled an exciting new trailer for The Witcher Season 4, offering fans a deeper look at Liam Hemsworth stepping into the iconic role of Geralt, a part previously held by Henry Cavill.
In this upcoming season, Geralt, Yennefer (Anya Chalotra), and Ciri (Freya Allan) find themselves on separate journeys. According to the show’s description, “They stumble on unexpected allies eager to join their journeys. And if they can accept these found families, they just might have a chance at reuniting for good.”
Mark your calendars: The Witcher Season 4 premieres on October 30 on Netflix. The highly anticipated fourth season will feature eight episodes, each approximately 50 minutes in length. Lauren Schmidt Hissrich continues her role as the series’ esteemed creator, showrunner, and executive producer, having helmed the previous three seasons.
The stellar cast sees the return of familiar faces, and Season 4 welcomes “The Matrix” star Laurence Fishburne, who will portray Regis, a “world-wide barber-surgeon with a mysterious past.” Other new additions to the cast include Sharlto Copley, James Purefoy, Danny Woodburn, Linden Porco, Eve Ridley, and Clive Russell.
Beyond the Netflix series, “The Witcher” universe continues to expand in the gaming world. “The Witcher 4” is in development and is set to be the first game in the series to feature Ciri as the main playable character. Additionally, CD Projekt Red is overseeing a remake of the original “The Witcher” game, which first launched in 2007. This remake will be developed by Fool’s Theory, with close guidance from CD Projekt Red.
