The Vivo V-series has consistently delivered smartphones packed with captivating camera and design innovations. With the introduction of the Vivo V60e, the company aims to further elevate this legacy by offering a fresh array of features and specifications designed to help it shine in a crowded market. This latest addition boasts a sleek, premium aesthetic, a stunning quad-curved AMOLED display, and a remarkable 200-megapixel rear camera, among other notable attributes. Priced at Rs. 29,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB model, Rs. 31,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant, and Rs. 33,999 for the 12GB + 256GB option, the question arises: is this new V-series smartphone a worthy investment? We had the opportunity to spend some time with the device, and here’s our initial take.
Sleek Design, Vibrant Display: A Premium Handheld Experience
The Vivo V60e immediately impresses with its form factor. Measuring a mere 7.49mm in thickness and weighing just 190 grams, it feels remarkably sleek and lightweight in hand, making for a comfortable grip. Vivo has launched the device in two sophisticated color options: Elite Purple and Noble Gold. My review unit, the Elite Purple, exudes a truly premium feel. The gently rounded edges ensure a comfortable hold, and the weight distribution feels well-balanced.

Beyond aesthetics, the V60e is built for durability, featuring an IP68/IP69 rating for water and dust resistance, a Comprehensive Cushioning Structure, and Diamond Shield Glass. These additions certainly earn it extra points for robustness. On the right side, you’ll find the volume controls and a power button, while the left side is completely clean. An IR blaster is cleverly placed at the top, and the bottom houses the SIM tray, a USB Type-C port, and the speaker grille. The rear panel showcases a thoughtfully designed camera island on the left, integrating two sensors with an Aura Light that sits flush for a seamless, refined look. Overall, the Vivo V60e truly delivers on a premium design.

Moving to the visual experience, the V60e boasts a captivating 6.77-inch Full HD+ quad-curved AMOLED screen, offering a crisp resolution of 2392 x 1080 pixels. This display also features a fluid 120Hz refresh rate, an impressive peak brightness of up to 1,900 nits, HDR10+ support, and a responsive 480Hz touch sampling rate.
In my initial tests, the display proved more than adequate for indoor use, showcasing bright, vibrant colors and impressively deep blacks. The quad-curved design is subtly implemented, so much so that you might not even notice it at first. We’ll delve deeper into the display’s capabilities in our comprehensive upcoming review, so stay tuned for more details.
Camera Capabilities: A Snapshot of Excellence
The camera system is undoubtedly one of the Vivo V60e’s strongest selling points. What makes it particularly noteworthy is that it’s the first Vivo smartphone in this price bracket to boast an impressive 200-megapixel rear camera. This powerful setup includes a 200-megapixel primary Samsung HP9 sensor with an f/1.88 aperture, complemented by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with an f/2.2 aperture. For selfies and video calls, the front features a sharp 50-megapixel eye autofocus camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

Vivo has placed a strong emphasis on portrait photography with this new smartphone. Users can now capture stunning portraits across four distinct focal lengths: 23mm, 35mm, 50mm, and 85mm, offering greater versatility for creative shots. Additionally, it introduces India’s first AI festival portrait mode, which intelligently alters backgrounds to imbue photos with a vibrant festive atmosphere. The inclusion of Four Season portraits also adds a fun, dynamic element to your photography.
Performance and Smart AI: Powering Your Experience
Under the hood, the latest Vivo V60e is driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Turbo processor, built on an efficient 4nm process. This capable chipset is paired with a Mali-G615 MC2 GPU, ensuring smooth graphics performance. The device offers ample memory and storage, with configurations up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It runs on Android 15, layered with Vivo’s Funtouch OS 15. Vivo also assures users of robust software support, promising three years of Android updates and five years of security updates. Powering this experience is a substantial 6,500mAh battery, supported by rapid 90W fast charging.

Beyond photography, the handset includes practical AI functionalities such as Circle to Search, live call translation, and Transcript Assist, aiming to streamline your daily interactions.
In summary, the Vivo V60e positions itself as a strong contender in the sub-Rs. 30,000 smartphone segment. Its elegant design and vivid display are immediate draws. While the cameras are a clear highlight, their full potential will be thoroughly explored in our upcoming detailed review. With solid specifications, a large battery, and impressive fast charging, the V60e offers a compelling package. However, it faces fierce competition from devices like the Realme 15 Pro, Motorola Edge 60 Pro, and Nothing Phone 3a Pro, making the choice a challenging one for consumers.
