The highly anticipated OnePlus 15T is set to follow in the footsteps of the OnePlus 13T, which made its debut in China earlier this year. While OnePlus has kept official details under wraps, early whispers and leaks are already providing intriguing insights into its potential features. According to a reliable tipster, this upcoming smartphone is poised to maintain its identity as a compact flagship device while introducing significant hardware enhancements. It’s also speculated that the phone might launch in India as the OnePlus 15s, possibly with minor adjustments tailored for the local market, serving as the successor to the OnePlus 13s.
OnePlus 15T Launch Details and Expected Specifications
A recent post from tipster Smart Pikachu on Weibo suggests that the OnePlus 15T could boast a stylish 6.3-inch flat AMOLED display with gently rounded corners. Design-wise, we might see a premium metal mid-frame and a minimalist approach to the camera module. Furthermore, the device is expected to come equipped with customizable multi-function buttons, a feature reminiscent of the shortcut key found on the current OnePlus 13T model in China.
The current OnePlus 13T, available in China, features a customizable shortcut key on its left side, which replaced the traditional Alert Slider.
Under the hood, the OnePlus 15T is rumored to be powered by the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, ensuring top-tier performance. A standout feature could be its substantial battery, with an expected capacity of 7,000mAh or even more. For enhanced security and convenience, the handset is likely to incorporate an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
The same tipster further commented that the global unveiling of the OnePlus 15T is projected to take place in China around March or April of the next year, 2026. For the Indian market, the OnePlus 15T might be introduced as the OnePlus 15s, possibly with some minor modifications, such as a slightly smaller battery. To put this in context, the OnePlus 13s currently features a 5,850mAh cell, while its sibling, the OnePlus 13T, comes with a 6,260mAh battery.
For reference, the existing OnePlus 13T model sports a 6.32-inch Full-HD+ 120Hz display, offering a peak brightness of up to 1,600 nits. It also includes an in-display fingerprint sensor, runs on a Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, and operates on Android 15-based ColorOS 15. Its camera setup comprises a 50-megapixel main sensor and a 50-megapixel telephoto sensor at the rear, complemented by a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The handset supports 80W wired fast charging and has a starting price of CNY 3,399 (approximately Rs. 39,000) for its base 12GB + 256GB variant.
