Comedian Tanmay Bhat has found himself in the digital spotlight once again, this time not for his viral content but for the widespread claims about his immense wealth. A recent report by Tech Informer, citing estimates from MyJar Blog, has placed Bhat at the pinnacle of India’s richest YouTubers, with an estimated net worth of ₹665 crore. This assertion placed him ahead of other popular creators like Technical Guruji and Samay Raina.
The buzz surrounding these figures quickly reached Bhat, who took to social media to humorously debunk the claims. Responding to a post on X (formerly Twitter) by RVCJ Media, Bhat quipped, “Bhai itne paise hote toh main YouTube membership nahi beach raha hota. (If I had that much money, would I not be selling YouTube memberships?).” His witty remark resonated with followers, one of whom jokingly replied, “Tanmay bhai, throw 10-20 crore over here into my mouth, otherwise the raid will hit.”
This isn’t the first time Bhat has had to address speculation about his net worth. Last year, after a wealth management startup’s report similarly estimated his net worth at ₹665 crore, Bhat clarified, “I can assure you that this number is wildly off – at least for me.”
Known for co-founding the influential comedy group All India Bakchod (AIB) in 2012 and serving as its CEO until its dissolution in 2019, Tanmay Bhat has been a significant figure in India’s comedy scene. He also gained recognition as a judge on Amazon Prime’s popular stand-up comedy competition, Comicstaan. More recently, Bhat has focused on his YouTube channel, where he shares a diverse range of content, including vlogs, comedy sketches, reaction videos, and video essays, while also streaming popular games.
