Microsoft has officially revealed the second wave of titles joining Xbox Game Pass in September 2025, and fans are thrilled to see the critically acclaimed indie darling, Hades, leading the pack.
Kicking things off, Roadcraft is available today, inviting players to command a fleet of realistic construction vehicles to build and repair roads and bridges. This title is accessible to both Xbox Game Pass Standard and Ultimate subscribers.
Prepare for a busy September 17! A host of new games will arrive for Xbox Game Pass Standard members (Ultimate subscribers already have them). These additions include the action-packed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (the 2023 edition), the strategic roguelite RPG For the King 2, and the early access city-building experience, Overthrown.
Also arriving on September 17 is Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, a thrilling single-player survival shooter spin-off. This title is available to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members.
September 18 sees the highly anticipated Frostpunk 2 make its debut on Xbox Series X/S for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, following its PC release. This desolate, snow-covered survival game is ideal for those seeking a challenging and atmospheric experience. It’s accompanied by the whimsical open-world physics sandbox, Wobbly Life, launching for PC and Xbox Series X/S simultaneously.
The highlight of the month, Hades, arrives on September 19. This beloved roguelike, celebrating its fifth anniversary, will be available across all Xbox Game Pass tiers: Standard, PC, and Ultimate. If you haven’t ventured into the Underworld yet, now’s your chance!
But wait, there’s more! Microsoft is rounding out September with several exciting additions. PC strategy fans can look forward to Endless Legend 2 on September 22, while co-op action roguelike enthusiasts can dive into Sworn on September 23. For younger players, Peppa Pig: World Adventures (a special edition dedicated to the late Queen Elizabeth II) will be available on September 25.
Also on September 25, RPG lovers can explore Visions of Mana across all Game Pass tiers. The month concludes with the return of the isometric adventure classic, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, joining on September 30.
Looking ahead to October, get ready for the day-one launch of the narrative adventure Sopa — Tale of the Stolen Potato on October 7. Plus, a few extra games will be joining Xbox Game Pass Core members, detailed next.
