The highly anticipated OnePlus 15 is gearing up for its China debut very soon, with a global release hot on its heels. While an official international launch date was initially kept under wraps, a recent leak suggests that the OnePlus 15 will make its way to global markets, including India, on November 13th. For those eager to get their hands on it, pre-orders are already live in China.
Powering Up with Snapdragon and AI
Under the hood, the OnePlus 15 will be powered by Qualcomm’s cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, promising top-tier performance. Users can also look forward to a stunning OLED display boasting a smooth 165Hz refresh rate, all wrapped in a stylish Sand Dune colorway and running on Android 16-based ColorOS 16.
Adding another layer of innovation, OnePlus India has announced that its upcoming OxygenOS 16 software will seamlessly integrate with Google’s Gemini AI models. This integration is set to unlock powerful on-device AI capabilities, featuring a ‘Plus Mind’ function that allows the Gemini assistant to access and utilize user-saved content from the ‘Mind Space’ hub.
OnePlus India’s announcement on X (formerly Twitter) teased this advancement with the tagline, “Your planner, assistant, and manager – all in one.” This highlights AI’s potential to streamline everyday tasks. For instance, the company showcased how a user could instruct Gemini to plan a five-day trip to Paris, with the AI intelligently pulling relevant details directly from the Mind Space app.
This smart integration means Gemini can access and leverage your stored information via the Plus Mind feature, offering personalized assistance and minimizing the need for manual searches through your saved items. This enhanced Plus Mind feature, powered by Gemini AI, will be available on upcoming OnePlus flagship devices running OxygenOS 16. However, an official release date for the OxygenOS 16 update in global markets is yet to be confirmed by the company.
