Celebrated music composer Santhosh Narayanan recently unveiled his latest ambitious project: an innovative music streaming platform. This new service, designed to be exceptionally transparent and affordable, will be entirely conceptualized, developed, and operated from within India, catering to a global audience.
Narayanan, renowned for his score in films like Kalki 2898AD, shared this exciting development on his social media. He passionately referred to it as his “dream project,” highlighting its core mission: to showcase a vast array of musical talent, from legendary figures to promising new artists. A fundamental principle of the platform will be prioritizing fair compensation for artists and offering subscription fees that are accessible to everyone.
Echoing his enthusiasm, Narayanan’s announcement included a direct quote: “Starting one of my dream projects today. Building an ultra transparent affordable music streaming platform from India for anyone in the world who streams music. This platform will feature a massive set of legendary artists and upcoming superstars, and we will prioritize artist payouts…”
Further specifics regarding the platform’s launch and features are expected to be revealed in due course.
This isn’t Santhosh Narayanan’s first endeavor to champion musical talent. Just last year, he established Rakitaa Entertainment, a music label specifically created to support and promote emerging artists. The label’s debut showcased two captivating songs from singer Dhee’s first album: ‘Can’t You Stay a Little Longer’ and ‘I Wear My Roots Like A Medal.’
Beyond his entrepreneurial spirit in music, Narayanan continues to be active in film scoring. Following his recent work on Retro and Thalaivan Thalaivii, his upcoming project is the highly anticipated Vaa Vaathiyaar.
