In a recent episode of the popular game show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) Season 17, a contestant named Shraddha found herself in a challenging situation when presented with a question pertaining to the ancient Hindu epic, Ramayana. The unexpected difficulty of the question even led her to seek assistance from the show’s iconic host, Amitabh Bachchan.
Ramayan question stumps contestant
During the episode aired on October 1st, Shraddha faced a question worth ₹7.5 lakh. The question was: “According to the Valmiki Ramayana, who did Lord Rama send as a messenger to Sugreev to remind him of his promise to search for Goddess Sita?” The options provided were: A. Lord Hanuman, B. Lakshman, C. Angad, and D. Bharat.
Despite displaying confidence throughout the game, Shraddha appeared uncertain about the correct answer. She opted to use a lifeline, and the hint given was that the person had accompanied Lord Rama during his exile. Following this clue, she correctly answered “Lakshman,” securing ₹7.5 lakh.
Although she progressed to the ₹25 lakh question, Shraddha ultimately decided to leave the game at the 13th question, taking home ₹12.50 lakh.
The narrative of the Ramayana explains that Sugreev, after becoming king, became complacent and neglected his promise to Lord Rama to search for Goddess Sita. It was Lakshman who then journeyed to Kishkindha to remind Sugreev of his commitment, leading to the organized search for Sita.
