Actors Kajol and Ajay Devgn’s son, Yug Devgn, stole the spotlight at the Durga Puja celebrations in Mumbai this Maha Ashtami. Known for his reserved nature, Yug initially hesitated when offered a microphone by the priest, but he eventually mustered the courage to chant “Durga Maa Ki Jai,” creating a truly sweet moment. A video of this endearing occasion has been making rounds on social media.
Yug joined his mother Kajol at the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja celebrations. While several videos and pictures from the event have been shared online, one particular clip has captured everyone’s hearts. In the video, the priest is seen encouraging a hesitant Yug to take the microphone. With a little coaxing, Yug bravely stepped forward and chanted the devotional phrase, earning a proud round of applause from Kajol, who couldn’t stop cheering for her son.
Social media users reacted with warmth to the video. One user commented, “Lots of love,” while another noted, “Finally, Singham’s son said something.” Acknowledging his introverted nature, one comment read, “He is very introvert… can’t even face public while saying anything.”
Beyond Yug’s devotional moment, Kajol was also seen sharing tender moments with her son throughout the puja. In one instance, Yug embraced his mother, whispering something in her ear as she lovingly put her arm around him. For the festive outing, Kajol looked elegant in a saree, complemented by statement jewelry and her hair neatly tied in a bun.
Kajol, along with her sister-in-law Rani Mukerji, traditionally organizes a Durga Puja pandal annually, attracting many celebrity guests. This year’s celebrations saw visits from prominent figures like Jaya Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, Ranbir Kapoor, and Bipasha Basu.
