Bengaluru witnessed another alarming display of road rage on October 31st, as a cab driver intentionally rammed a two-wheeler on the K.R. Puram flyover in the eastern part of the city, causing injuries to both the rider and the pillion passenger.
The harrowing incident, which occurred around 1:15 PM, was recorded by the dashboard camera of a vehicle directly behind the cab. This shocking footage rapidly spread across social media platforms, drawing widespread condemnation.
The video clearly depicts an argument between the motorcyclist and the cab driver before the cab abruptly swerved right, forcefully striking the two-wheeler. While the pillion rider was violently thrown off the bike, the primary rider demonstrated remarkable presence of mind, managing to regain balance and bring the vehicle to a safe stop moments later.
Confirming the details of the incident, K. Parashuram, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Whitefield Division), stated, “Both parties involved were contacted, and surprisingly, neither had filed a formal complaint. However, the Mahadevapura Police have officially taken cognizance of the incident.”
Authorities are now diligently verifying the viral video footage and gathering statements from all individuals involved to ensure a thorough investigation into this reckless act.
