The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has officially released its recruitment notification for the year 2025, aiming to fill 2,569 vacancies across various technical positions. These include roles such as Junior Engineer (JE), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS), and Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant (CMA), under the reference CEN No. 05/2025.

Age and Eligibility:
Candidates applying for these positions must be between 18 and 33 years of age as of January 1, 2026. Age relaxations will be applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government norms.
Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be placed in Level 6 of the pay matrix, with an initial pay of ₹35,400.
Selection Process:
The selection procedure involves multiple stages:
- First Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-1)
- Second Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-2)
- Document Verification (DV)
- Medical Examination (ME)
Examination Fees:
Candidates from general categories are required to pay an examination fee of ₹500. Out of this amount, ₹400 will be refunded after deducting applicable bank charges, provided the candidate appears for the CBT-1 exam. For candidates belonging to SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, Female, Transgender, Minorities, or EBC categories, the fee is ₹250, which will also be refunded upon appearing for CBT-1. Fees must be paid online via internet banking, credit/debit cards, or UPI. All bank charges will be borne by the applicant.
