Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently accused the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress of orchestrating a “dangerous conspiracy” in Bihar’s Seemanchal region. He alleged their aim is to destabilize the demographic balance by actively encouraging illegal immigration and infiltration.
Speaking at a rally in Katihar, a district with a substantial Muslim population, Mr. Modi strongly criticized the Opposition, claiming they have “surrendered before extremists.”
He specifically highlighted a “dangerous conspiracy” involving the RJD and Congress in Katihar and neighboring districts like Araria and Purnea. The Prime Minister dedicated a significant portion of his speech to discussing the serious issue of illegal immigration.

“The Seemanchal region has historically been a guardian (prahari) of our culture and civilization. However, for the past few years, the RJD and Congress have been attempting to disrupt the demographic stability here, all for the sake of securing a few votes,” Mr. Modi asserted. He reiterated a point from his Independence Day speech about the critical need for a “demography mission.”
He further charged that the RJD and Congress are jeopardizing Bihar’s future and endangering its citizens, including “your children and daughters,” through these actions.
Mr. Modi stated, “Congress and RJD have capitulated to extremists. Whenever the BJP-led NDA raises concerns about the necessity to remove infiltrators, these opposition parties immediately come to their defense.”
He also criticized their attempts to block the triple talaq bill and their “audacity to threaten to dismantle the Waqf Act, which was legitimately passed by Parliament.”
The Prime Minister claimed that both parties clearly show an affinity for “kattar panthis” (extremists) and “kattas” (country-made pistols).
“But the people must decide whether they are willing to allow infiltrators to claim a share in their rightful entitlements,” he urged.
He concluded by saying, “Certainly, the poor, including my Mahadalit brothers and sisters, would not support infiltrators benefiting from provisions intended for them, such as free rations and free health insurance.”
